Frequently Asked Questions
Ready to make money for surveys? Read through our FAQ to find answers to your questions and, if you don’t find what you’re looking for here, feel free to contact us. As our members will gladly attest, we’re here to help and will do everything we can to ensure our paying surveys meet your needs and exceed your expectations!
1) How long will it be before I start receiving paid survey offers?
Many of our members receive their first paid online survey opportunities in just a matter of days; however, this will depend greatly on the needs of our partner companies and the information you provide in your profile, as they will be looking for a match.
This explains why you will want to sign up for as many offers as possible, as this will certainly expedite the process and get the opportunities to you faster.
It also explains why it is imperative that you be completely honest when creating your profile. This will help our partner companies find exactly what they are looking for in you!
2) How many paid surveys should I expect to receive each week or each month?
This varies from member-to-member, but is based on the number of opportunities you register for. Obviously, the more opportunities you register for, the more you will receive.
Many of our members tell us that they average a survey a week, while others work to increase this to two or three each week.
It is up to you. To get started, we strongly recommend that you register with every one of the handpicked opportunities in our Most Popular section and once you have completed these, take a look around the site for other opportunities that excite you or pique your interest.
3) I’ve noticed that some offers pay in cash, while others offer cool prizes and free trials. Why is this?
Some market research companies and/or the big companies they represent work with various sponsors, promotional companies, etc. Because of such, you may be invited to purchase products at a special discount rate, or take advantage of exciting trial offers.
This helps these companies promote their products and services and allows them to offer you opportunities you may not be privy to otherwise, creating a unique win-win situation.
Of course, you don’t have to take advantage of these if you are not interested in them.
4) How much money can I make?
While this depends largely on how many online paid survey offers you sign-up for, it also depends on the type of paid surveys you complete. For instance, shorter surveys pay less; longer surveys, more.
To maximize your income, you will want to start by simply registering with every opportunity detailed for you in the comprehensive Most Popular section of our website.
5) How will I get paid for completing online surveys?
This will vary from online survey offer to online survey offer, which is why we strongly suggest you pay close attention to each offer and know this upfront.
There are times you will be paid by the market research company conducting the online survey on behalf of a client, and times you will be paid by company that developed the online survey. Regardless, with YellowSurveys.com, you will always get paid.
Payment may be issued in the form of a check that is mailed to you or via Paypal, with funds being electronically deposited into your free Paypal account.
6) It’s great that YellowSurvey.com has assembled everything I need in a single place, but how do you do all of this for free?
We make money when our users take surveys. It really is as simple as that. We don't sell anything and we certainly don’t expect our valued members to have to put up their hard-earned money so they can start making money.
7) I will go ahead and set-up a dedicated email address, but should I be worried about a bunch of SPAM. Or concerned that the information I share with your partner companies is shared with others?
Rest assured that we take your privacy very seriously, as does every one of our partner companies. Of course, you will want to review their privacy policies just as you would any site on the Net, but you can do so knowing in advance that we have screened our partners and believe them to take every precaution to protect you and your privacy.
8) I want to work from home more, but seem to always be pressed for time. Is it realistic to believe that I can really make extra income by jus setting aside say a half-hour a day?
On your most hectic days, check your dedicated email inbox and take a shorter survey. Then, on days when you have more time, you may want to opt for longer, higher paying surveys.
This allows you to work when it is convenient for you and at your own pace, which is the whole point.
9) What about taxes on the money I make?
If you're a U.S. citizen, you'll be considered an "independent contractor" for income tax purposes and no income or other taxes are withheld from the payments you receive. At the end of the calendar year, any survey company that has paid you $600 or more will send you an IRS Form 1099 - and you're supposed to include this as "miscellaneous income" on your tax return.
If you are not a U.S. citizen, you will need to ask an accountant or other tax professional for the answer to this question, and how it might apply to you in your location.
