Attention & Perception LabThe University of California, San Diego is always conducting various research and experiments, and they always on the look out for people willing to assist. At the moment, the Attention and Perception Lab at the university is looking for people to assist in two specific surveys, and there are usually prizes up for grabs for doing so. Firstly, the learnmelanoma.org survey, that has been running for a while now, is split into three sections. The first, which takes 10 to 15 minutes, the second which takes less than 10 minutes, and the third which takes less than 5, all of which are split over a one year period. Email reminders are sent out for each session. The more recent surveys include Finding Buddies, which started in March 2008, and Alien Racers, which started in February 2008. The first requires you to view various pictures of animals, and then to try and associate them in your memory. The latter is equally interesting: you will learn which ‘alien racers’ are the fastest by crafting or observing head-to-head races. This study has many test trials, and they may take from 30 minutes up to an hour each. General Information
