Caregivers Advisory Panel

The Caregivers Advisory Panel aims to convert the needs, opinions and attitudes of various caregivers into a format that will benefit their clients, and hopefully improve the individual lives of caregivers in general. The Caregivers Advisory Panel therefore works with health care manufacturers, support organizations, financial service providers and other related organizations to provide them with much needed feedback from caregivers. They currently have a panel of 25,000 family caregivers who offer such feedback, throughout the United States.

These panel members are simply people from across the United States who provide some form of care of assistance to someone affected by illness, disability or old age. Panel members are traditionally from a diverse range of demographics and situations, and thus membership is not restricted to a specific field of caregivers.

Participation in the program will typically be in the form of focus groups, in person interviews, mail studies, home testing and evaluation of new products, computer aided telephone interviewing, on-site research and internet surveys. They will typically deal with issues such as caregiver habits and practices, adult incontinence, bathing and skin care, caregiver self identification and wound care and prevention.
