eTownPanel (CivicPanel)The eTownPanel (Now called CivicPanel) is a project of the Survey Research Unit at the School of Public Affairs, at Baruch College in New York. This online panel, that investigates a large array of studies on a variety of topics, is a university-affiliated, non-profit project, which is funded by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. These grants and sponsorships support all of the general operating costs of the projects, and they also generate revenue from the process of setting up and hosting a variety of custom surveys. They are encouraging people to log on to the website, at Etownpanel.com, and join their database as a registered panellist. Anyone who is over the age of 18, and who is a citizen of the United States, can become a member of the panel. They also encourage people from all towns and cities from across the United States to become a panellist – even if their surveys do not focus on your own city or town. Many of their surveys are of a national nature, and are relevant to the entire country. Participation in the etownpanel.com surveys will also earn you certain rewards, in the form of entries into various competitions, which offer Amazon.com gift vouchers as prizes. General Information
