Essentially, they find people to take part in focus groups which is a small, but representative sample of people, whose opinions are sought by organizations who need to know how the public will react to their new products or advertising. These focus groups are often held at their market research facilities, and they are run by a qualified moderator. Most often, these groups consist of four to twelve like-minded respondents.
