Global Test Market
Global Test Market is a market research company that has formed
in order to offer both individual participants and their clients the
most attractive package possible. They are looking to pay people for
offering their opinions and influencing the development of products
and services that you use every day. The company has been around
since 1999, and is powered by one of the world’s leading market
research providers – Global Market Insite. This means that they have
a wide reach of participants and clients, with over 1400 clients in
more than 60 countries around the world. This means that there is a
greater chance that you will be able to participate with Global Test
Market in some of their various market research projects.
The majority of their studies are in the form of online surveys,
which on average will take about 15 minutes to complete. These
surveys are sent out to those people who qualify, and you will have
to complete a profiling questionnaire before you are sent any
invitations.
Global Test Market will reward you for each survey that you
complete, in the form of Market Points. Once you reach a total of
1000 points, you can cash them out for $50.

Comment: I’m definitely pleased that I became a Global Test
Market Member almost 2 years ago. While I would not
rate them as the best, they are certainly up there in
accordance to survey invites and rewards per survey.
They also offer a variety in subject matter when it
comes to survey topics, and have offered me sweepstakes
entries and a small points’ bonus for surveys I have
not qualified for. Every reward no matter how small
adds up.
The only negative that I could comment on was poor
customer service here and there, with member support
taking an awful long time to get back to me over
problems I was having. Since going through this though,
I have made a complaint to which a response was quickly
sent back saying that they were sorry for the delays
and that they were currently looking into how best to
improve member support. I must say that since making
this complaint I have not had any further problems when
seeking out support.
Overall, Global Test Market has given me the
opportunity to share my opinions on topics that are
relatable and relevant to my life, and has also
provided me with extra $20 a month (on average) that I
otherwise would not have had.

| Comment: I love...love...love global test market. Surveyhead and
Vindale Research are good too but they’re no
competition for global test market. It really is a
great survey-taking website. I signed up with them
about 4 years ago actually and according to the reward
records section on my account I have cashed out to-date
20,000 points in the form of 50 dollar checks which is
400 dollars. Trust me, sometimes those 50 dollars
checks really come in handy. I don’t know anyone who
wouldn’t mind getting a 50 dollar check every now and
then. Usually I’m able to cash out my reward points on
global test market every 4 or 5 months. I receive many
survey invitations (sometimes too many) in my email
inbox. I guess you have to remember on survey-taking
websites that you win some and you lose some. In other
words it's impossible to be able to qualify for every
survey. But I’m not complaining. I qualify for some of
them. It’s pretty rare for me during any given week to
not be able to qualify for at least 1 survey. Often
times it’s like 2 or 3 surveys that I qualify for in a
week. I guess I tend to fit into the right demographics
for their surveys which is good. :) The only thing that
bothers me about global test market is the amount of
repeat emails sent for the same survey invitations. One
email is really enough. But despite the little bit of
email spamming I guess it really is a great survey
survey-taking website. I recommend joining if you
haven’t already! |

Comment: Honestly I feel that Global Test Market puts other
survey panels/websites to shame. Ok, so maybe that’s a
bit of an exaggeration but it’s definitely one of the
best out there if not the best. I’ve been a member of
Global Test Market since February of 2009 and I’ve
managed to cash out 6 times.
Being an active member of a survey panel for over 3
years and managing to cash out 6 times may not sound
that great if you are uninformed of the fact that the
minimum amount needed to cash out with Global Test
Market is fifty dollars. Each point that you earn is
also worth 5 cent which may also not sound that great
if you don’t know that the reward amounts for surveys
tend to range from 30 to 80 points. I’m only speaking
from personal experience. Perhaps others have earned or
been given the opportunity to earn more or less than 80
points but it’s always been between 30 and 80 to me. 80
point surveys is a rarity but I have managed to qualify
for and complete maybe 3 or 4 surveys that were worth
this amount.
Perhaps what I like most about Global Test Market is
that they really send out a lot of survey invitations
via email. I try to take at least 2 or 3 surveys a week
with Global Test Market. Like any other survey panel,
some of them I qualify for and some of them I don’t.
That's to be expected.
But also what I like the most about Global Test Market
is also one of the things I like the least. They really
send out A LOT of survey invitations to the point where
most of the emails are just repeats. More often than
not I get the same survey invitation sent to my inbox
multiple times a day which can be kind of annoying. But
I guess its better to receive too many emails than
hardly no emails at all. If that was the case then I
would have probably stopped working with Global Test
Market a long time ago.
Another thing I also dislike about Global Test Market
is the fact that receiving a check in the mail is your
only payment option. It typically takes 6-8 weeks to
receive a check which is a little bit of a wait. A
PayPal payment would be awesome but unfortunately
that’s not offered which may not be so bad considering
that you’re receiving a fifty dollar check. There’s not
much room for complaints when you’re receiving 50
dollars.
In some way it’s actually almost exciting to wait for a
50 dollar check from Global Test Market because as a
college student there’s never a time when I can’t find
a use for extra money. And with Global Test Market I
genuinely feel like the 50 dollar reward is fair and
worth it when you put in the amount of time and effort
needed to complete the surveys which often times are
not very interesting.
So yes, I would certainly recommend Global Test Market.
Honestly I think this survey panel is about as close to
perfect (of course it has it’s flaws) as any survey
panel can get but this is just based off my personal
experience with it.

Hi,
Founded in 1999, Global Test Market is part of Global
Market Insite (GMI), Inc., one of the world's leading
providers of market research. Serving more than 1400
clients and providing a global solution for companies
that wish to conduct online consumer research across
more than 60 countries.
Visiting the www.globaltestmarket.com website presents
me with a formal style but busy home page, mostly blue
on a white background.
The website caters for all participating countries and
has a multilingual facility. A “Change Language” button
is provided at the bottom of the screen, clicking this
button presents me with a very impressive list of 22
languages, selecting a language immediately translates
the site into the chosen language.
The main focus of the Home page is an impressive
graphic of many hands supporting the Earth together
with a brief description of the function and the
benefits of the site.
Along the top of the page is a series of clickable
buttons:-
“Home” – this page,
“Join” – leads me to a page where I enter all my
personal details, this is duplicated in other places on
the home page,
“Benefits” – a quick but encouraging description,
“FAQs” – a very comprehensive set of FAQs,
“About Us” – purpose, history and policies, however
there are no details of office locations or telephone
numbers, these can be found on their parent Company GMI
website.
“Contact Us” – providing a means for sending questions
and comments to Support.
These buttons are duplicated towards the bottom of the
screen together with:-
“Sitemap” – really just a full menu rather than a
sitemap,
“Privacy Policy” – always good to be aware of this,
“Terms of Use” – comprehensive details,
“Change Language” – as described above.
Clicking the “Member Login” button allows me to enter
my Email address and Password, I am immediately taken
to my personal Home page where I have a new set of
buttons at the top of the page:-
“My Details” – allows me to check my personal details
and edit them if necessary,
“Surveys” - presents me with a list of and status of my
NINE personal profiles covering Basics, Household,
Travel, Employment, Financial, Technology, Medical,
Vehicle and Interests. If any are expired then a button
is provided to allow me to update them.
This is followed by a list of surveys currently
available to me. From experience, I have discovered
this list is not always accurate and kept updated since
I have discovered links to surveys which have expired
or in which I have already participated.
“Rewards” – provides information about my Total
MarketPoints since joining, and my Current MarketPoints
Total, more about MarketPoints later.
I also find links taking me to “Recent MarketPoints
Activity” - a very useful list of surveys I have
completed together with the reference Number, the Date,
and the number of MarketPoints awarded, “Recent
Sweepstakes Entries” – some of the shorter surveys
award sweepstake entries rather than MarketPoints, and
“Redemption History” – providing a list of my
MarketPoints redemptions including the date and the
number of points.
“Refer a Friend” - provides me with a screen into which
I can type the email addresses of up to 10 friends.
When a referral completes their first survey I receive
20 MarketPoints.
“Sweepstakes” – provides a link to the daily and
quarterly sweepstakes rules and a link to a
comprehensive list of winners which includes the amount
of prize money won, the name and initial of the winner,
their City and Country, and the date won – so Global
Test Market are not shy about publishing their
sweepstake winners – very encouraging.
Now, on to surveys and rewards.
I receive invitations to take surveys in my inbox as an
attractive but formal looking email, and, at times can
be very often, sometimes up to three in one day.
Each survey has a unique reference number and quotes
the reward as a number of MarketPoints - but there is
no mention of an expected completion time, but all the
information is there for me to keep a record of each
survey I take and when.
From experience, the majority of surveys are for
rewards of 35, 40 and 60 MarketPoints and such surveys
would last about 15 to 25, 20 to 30 and 25 to 40
minutes respectively. Yes, the timings are very
flexible, although rewards can be up to 125
MarketPoints but these are few and would last an hour
or more. One thing I have discovered is that the time
to complete surveys for a particular reward can vary
widely. I find it necessary to assess each invitation
separately, and, since many Global Test Market surveys
are passed to a partner site, I find it a good idea to
check the estimated time once I have started the survey
on the partner site.
Qualifying for surveys is not guaranteed, and,
considering the plethora of personal information they
possess in my personal profiles, I am surprised that I
am rejected from surveys at all - but sure enough I do
suffer quite a few screen-outs.
I need a minimum of 1000 MarketPoints before I can
redeem, although I have the option to continue taking
surveys and accumulating past the 1000 points if I
wish. If I redeem 1000 points I receive a cheque
(check) for the equivalent of US$50 but converted into
my own currency of GBP. This format seems to be typical
for all participating countries.
Applying this value to the survey rewards and timings
quoted above we see that:-
35 MarketPoints = 15/25 minutes = US$1.75
100 MarketPoints = 60+ minutes = US$5.00.
This makes Global Test Market an average earner but
this is compensated by the number of surveys received –
I just have to work a little harder.
I consider the payment by cheque (check) method to be
the Achilles heel of Global Test Market. The costs
incurred in printing, preparing and posting cheques
(checks) must be many times more than cheaper, simpler
and faster payment methods such as PayPal. Furthermore,
accumulating 1000 points can take me a long time, about
eight months on average.
Adopting payments through PayPal would make everyone
happier, and perhaps would allow the redemption
threshold to be lowered and make payments more
frequent, of lower value of course – but would involve
less waiting. Reading through some of the many reviews
for survey panels from other contributors here on
Yellow Surveys, I find that I am not alone in my
opinion that having to wait too long to redeem points
for payment can be a little off-putting.
Since joining Global Test Market in December 2008, I
have successfully completed about 188 surveys and
earned over US$210, which I consider to be attributable
to the sheer number of surveys completed and not
necessarily the intrinsic value of the surveys. I have
never had any problems in the redemption process,
usually receiving the cheque (check) 4-5 weeks after
redeeming.
If you are willing to tolerate the long wait whilst
your MarketPoints build up, then I can recommend
joining Global Test Market.

| Comment: I would only recommend this survey to people with lots
of extra time on their hands. It actually takes too
long to complete the survey to make a living at this.
It also seems to be a form of marketing that asks for
your credit card, which isn't the same as employment.
It should not be confused as a research job. There
needs to be better, more consistent ways to make money
online but at least this site represents a crack in the
door. |

Comment: For me, Global Test Market has been great! I get plenty
of survey offers, most of which I qualify for, and
their rewards payouts come on time! As a member of
quite a few survey companies, I have found that there
are a lot claims made by all and very few who actually
adhere to what they claim. GTM is one of a few
companies that have managed to uphold their claims. I
must say though that when I do get an invite to a
survey that holds fair reward, it is in your best
interest to jump on it quick before your demographic
fills and ends up screening you out.
Another thing about GTM that I like is that it doesn’t
take an eternity to see some rewards by way of cash! I
had only been a member for about 4 months before I was
able to make my first payout request – better still was
that it arrived within the said time. While I have had
great success with Global Test Market, there will
always be members who do not feel the same; but that is
just how the ball rolls with survey companies.
I have had no problems with Global Test Market and will
continue to remain as a member while I am having
success with them.

I am just worried about how long it is going to take me
to earn the money and I have experienced twice already
that sometimes it just skips it and says that u didn't
complete it when you did so you don't get the points

have been a member for about 9 months and I like the
fact that I earn 5 points for non-qualification of a
survey - makes me feel that my time isn't wasted doing
their surveys. I receive frequent surveys from them
every week, sometimes as many as 3 per day, so I accrue
points easily. I am pleasantly surprised that they will
answer my queries and am very happy to receive their
cheques when I make a redemption. This is the best
survey site to me and I strongly recommend

| Comment: It's been two years now that I've been with Global Test
Market. I would still have to say that they are the
best survey panel online. They send out tons of
surveys, many I don't qualify for but some I do. With
Global Test Market you have to acquire 1,000 points
which is equal to fifty dollars before you can cash
out. It usually takes around 4-6 weeks to receive your
check(yeah, check only, no Paypal) but it's worth the
wait. The only problem I would say I have with this
panel is that they constantly send out way too many
surveys that I've taken or tried to take already but
overall I would say GTM is a very good, legitimate
survey panel where you can actually make some real
money, but keep in mind, that its going to take quite a
bit of time and patience to achieve that goal. |

sites. Their surveys arrive on average twice a week
and I've qualified for most of them. They are one of

Reward points are between 15 and 40 per survey. It
takes a while to reach the minimum redemption amount of
1000 points but when you do its worth $50. The
downside is they only pay out in checks, so no paypal.
They also have sweepstakes entries. When you don't
qualify you still receive an entry into they daily
($300) and quarterly draws (different amounts up to
$5000).
Their customer support is great and the answers are not
generic canned messages. They will investigate
technical problems and reward you points for the time
it took you to complete the survey.
Overall it's worth the time and effort to join this
site.

Comment: GlobalTestMarket have provided me with a steady amount
of surveys, averaging at about 3 to 5 surveys a week,
with 15-40 points for each survey offered. Therefore it
has not taken long to reach the cash out point of 1000
points = $50 cheque. In addition to the points earned
per completed survey, you also get entered into daily
and quarterly sweepstakes for cash prizes.
Their customer service has been surprisingly
exceptional, with my technical problem being addressed
within 24 hours of me sending them an email; something
which has often been a problem with other survey
companies.
Overall, I enjoy taking the surveys, especially when
you can see your points accredited to your account
almost immediately. I would recommend this survey site
to anyone looking for a steady stream of surveys, its
well worth joining.

Comment: For me, GlobalTestMarket have been one of my favourite
survey companies. I have been a member for almost 2
years and have earned over $670 so far. They are one of
the most reliable at paying out in a timely fashion,
which has been a problem for me with other survey
companies. That is one reason why I would recommend
GlobalTestMarket above other companies; another reason
is because even when I couldn’t complete a survey, I
was still offered a small amount of points rather than
nothing. Plus other surveys have earned me entries into
sweepstakes with huge cash prizes – although I have not
won one of these yet, I still remain hopeful!
Overall, GlobalTestMarket are a great survey company
that offer fair rewards for the amount of time spent
completing a survey, and it is easy to qualify for a
survey if you have taken the time to offer more
information in your profile. A lot of people may think
it is going to take a long time to reach the cash-out
point (1000 points = $50), but with so many surveys on
offer you’re sure to reach that point rather quick.

long, most are fairly quick and all are easy. I've done
everything from answer questions about my movie likes
to eating free food. There is definite diversity in

online since about 6 years ago when I lost my job. In
those 6 years, I have had a small handful of successes,
and a massive pile of failures.
I experimented with web design, freelance writing,
get-paid-to sites, etc. and nothing was working. I was
either spending too much time for too small of a
payment, or I was not getting paid at all by shady
sites.
It wasn’t until about 2 years ago that I discovered
survey sites. One of the first ones I joined was Global
Test Market, and it’s been my favorite ever since.
Since I live in Australia, it’s much harder to find
surveys that I can actually do. Most surveys only want
U.S. participants, which makes it very hard to make a
good amount of money. But when I found Global Test
Market, I quickly discovered that not all survey
companies were the same. GTM gave me plenty of paid
survey opportunities, and they were even kind enough to
pay me in my local currency instead of USD. Global Test
Market truly lives up to its name, unlike most other
survey sites that only cater to U.S. citizens.
I’ve had some small problems with the support team at
GTM, but other than that, I love the site. It’s helped
me make hundreds of dollars over the past 2 years,
while giving me confidence in the survey industry,
which in turn inspired me to join additional sites and
make more money. If you’re looking for a new survey
site, I highly recommend Global Test Market.

began to rise, me and my wife began to struggle to make
ends meet. To help out, I turned to the Internet to
make some extra cash.
After months of messing around and not really making
anything, I discovered the world of online surveys. I
quickly got into it, and now am a member of 15+ survey
portals. Of those panels, I have 4 which I use
regularly and trust the most. One of these trusted
sites I use is Global Test Market.
When I joined Global Test Market about a year ago, I
wasn’t sure if the whole survey industry was
legitimate, or just one massive scam. After working
with GTM for a few months, I learned that it was
definitely legitimate. I always got plenty of survey
opportunities, and whenever I finished a survey, the
points were always credited to my account very quickly.
At first I was skeptical about them actually paying,
but once I reached 1000 MarketPoints (the minimum
payout, $50 USD), I was paid quickly and
professionally. I requested a check in pounds, which
was not a problem for Global Test Market. I later found
out that GTM pays out in tons of different currencies,
and will basically work with the individual to make
sure everything goes smoothly with the payment.
I have never had any sort of problem with GTM, and none
of my mates who are involved in the industry have had
issues either. If you’ve been looking for a legitimate
survey site to join, Global Test Market is an excellent
choice.

Comment: I am a self-employed man and I run my own business. In
my spare time, I do whatever I can to bring in some
extra money to keep the wheels of my business turning
while keeping my bills paid. Part of this is doing
surveys. I have been participating in online surveys
for 5 or 6 years now, more so recently. In all those
years, one of my favorite survey sites has been Global
Test Market. It’s not necessarily the one I earn the
most from, but it is one of my personal favorites for
many reasons.
Global Test Market has a worldwide user base of more
than 5 million, with people from 200+ countries. They
have a good selection of surveys available, although
you won’t qualify for a large portion of them. When you
complete a survey, you will be credited with points.
The exchange rate is 1000 points=$50. It can take quite
a while to reach 1000 points, which many people
complain about. To me, I’d rather wait and get a $50
check than get a $20 check now and a $20 check a few
months later, followed by a $10 check 6 months later.
I’ve had some friends complain to me that they don’t
get enough surveys from Global Test Market, but I have
not had this problem. Plus, the more surveys you
complete, the more money you make. Global Test Market
is a serious player in the online survey industry, and
they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. If you need

Comment: Out of all the survey sites that I am in, I find that
Global Test Market sends out by far the most. Fair
enough I don't qualify for them all, but I do make some
decent extra money from the site.
Pretty much for surveys you either get entries into

sweepstakes I can't say I am fan of them, but I try to
a couple of the surveys, just so I have a few entries,
you never know I may get lucky and actually win some
time.
The point surveys are pretty good and offer a fair
amount of points for surveys completed and 1000 points
gets you a $50 payment, paid by check.
I guess at the end of the day all you want from a
survey site, is a few surveys a week, easy to make
their minimum payment and at the end of all to actually
get paid. Global Test Market meets all those
requirements, so it gets my recommendation. |

I could tell you that they send out a lot of surveys
and I could tell you that sometimes they send out so
many that I can not do them all.
I could tell you that Global Test Market has pretty
fair payments on their surveys and I could tell you
that getting a few points on surveys you qualify for is
really appreciated.
I could tell you that earning $50.00 with Global Test
Market and getting paid is really easy.
I could tell you all of these things but I won't, what
I will tell you though, if you are like me and can use
some extra money and you don't want to go work a second
job where you are away from your home. If you are like
me and want to earn a little bit of easy money whilst
at home.
Then I got to say, that paid online surveys are
certainly the way to go, you aren't going to get rich
from one site alone but if you join many sites and
there are heaps listed here at Yellow Surveys, then you
are it is quite capable of earning a fair chunk of
extra cash each and every month.
With all that in mind Global Test Market is one of the
better paid online survey sites out there and certainly
should be one of the Top 3 sites you need to join to
get started in making extra cash online. |

| Comment: I started my membership with global test market in may.
They sent me a lot of surveys at first, but then they
practically stopped. Then, after a month or so, they
started again. Eventually, after 3 months I was able
to get the 1000 market points required to obtain a $50
check. However, it took nearly 12 weeks to get to me,
even though I was told it would only take 4-6. They
have a good system going but do not expect to get fast
easy money from doing online surveys here. |

Comment: I have been with Global Test Market around 5 years now
and in that time I have received many payments from
them. They send out a ton of surveys, so much so that I
find that sometimes I do not have time to complete them
all. This is a good thing though and I like the fact
that every couple of days I can sit down and try to do
3 or 4 surveys at a time.
For every survey completed you get Market Points,
anywhere from 20 to around 300, each point is worth 5
cents. With the amount of surveys sent out it does not
take long to reach their payout minimum which is only
$50.00.
I like having surveys daily in my inbox and I think,
the payments for the surveys are pretty fair, I
personally think it is a very easy way to get paid
online. Well worth checking out an having a go if you
aren't already a member. |

best surveys panels out there. I've been with them for
over a year now and I would have to say my experience
with them has been overall pretty good. They seem to
send alot of surveys many of them I don't qualify for
but some of them I do. They send you payment by check
once you've earned 1,000 points. It takes a while to
recieve the check but it's worth it. Fifty dollars is
good spending money to have in your pocket. |

Comment: My opinion is that Global Test Market is one of the top
5 paying survey panels out there, they have had an
outstanding reputation among the market research
community for many years. They accept members over the
age of 18 years from most countries around the world,
although I've heard you're more likely to see surveys
from them if you live in The United States, Canada,
United Kingdom or Australia. Myself being form the
United States I see quite allot of surveys from them.
Their method of paying is very simple and easy to
understand, they use a point system called
MarketPoints. For each survey you complete you receive
an allocated amount of MarketPoints usually between 20
and 50 points per short survey and I've had several
that pay 100, 200 and even 300 MarketPoints for longer
surveys. The amount of you points you receive for each
survey is always specified before you start any survey.
For most surveys they will also award you with some
points for attempting the survey and not qualifying
(usually 5 points, equivalent to $0.25).
Each MarketPoint at Global Test Market is fixed against
the USD at $0.05 per point, and you need 100 points to
request a payment, this may seem fairly high but in my
experience it doesn't take long to accumulate 1000
points (for me it takes from 3 to 6 weeks depending on
the amount and types of surveys I get). Once you make a
payment request you are sent a check in the mail within
about 4 to 5 weeks, US residence get paid in US dollars
and I believe other countries get paid in their local
currencies.
Since joining with Global Test Market in mid 2007 I've
been paid over $800 ($846.75 to be precise), and I'm
also close to having enough to request another payment
soon. Overall Global Test Market is very good survey
company. Their surveys are usually fun and interesting,
and you are fairly rewarded for the time it takes to
complete them. Their email support is good, and payment
requests are handled within a reasonable amount of
time.
I recommend Global Test Market to anyone who wants to
genuinely make some extra money online doing paid
surveys.

Comment: I love this site. Surveys are frequent they pay by
check and you need 1,000 market points to cash out.
Won't be hard to do. Usually get 2-5 surveys a day
ranging from 20-50 marketpoints. Beware, alot of them
are sweeps and not worth it but be my guess if you like
doing those. Hey you never know. Overall, recommend
them. Nice support staff. Been paid several times
already by them.
Note: This is only from my prosepective. I have also
read lots of bad news about them. |

i have come across. The surveys are regular (which is
hard to come by if you are considered part of the
international survey list) and the incentives are well

survey companies out there. I get regular invitations
to do surveys and have been paid several times.
Reaching the high payout figure of $50 can sometimes
take a couple of months, but it's well worth it, unlike
other scam sites they do actually pay. To sum it up,
it's well worth being a member of Global Test Market,
and can't recommend them highly enough. |
