NPD Online Research is an online research community that offers a funky, comprehensive website for people willing to join their online market research panel. NPD Online Research offers a selection of surveys and polls, which can be completed for entries into their competitions and sweepstakes.

The questions in the NPD Online Research website are all straightforward and easy to answer. They typically require you to share your point of view about the products you buy, the services you use, the websites you visit and other consumer-related issues. You give them valuable information that they are probably selling to companies for thousands of dollars, but all you get after taking a survey is "points" that you can bet on a "sweepstakes". So you can't even cash in your points for cash or an object, you have to then spend them for a CHANCE to win something. Not worth your time. Go to one of the other sites that pays you for your time & info. As a member, you will receive points for sweepstake entries. At the moment, I have not won any sweepstakes or cash prizes. I have earned and submitted a lot of points for sweepstake entries; maybe, my lucky will change eventually. Sweepstakes are hard to win so I am debating whether to continue my membership or unsubscribe. However, the survey topics are interesting and takes about 10 minutes to complete. I still continue to receive a lot of survey opportunities from this panel. Some of the surveys are actually pretty interesting and most of the surveys are not unusually long. I do have mixed feelings about this survey panel however. This is a certain type of survey panel that you’re most likely only going to like if you “really” enjoy taking surveys. With NPD, you’re not receiving something like cash-based incentives or reward cards unlike with other survey panels. With NPD, you can only receive sweepstake entries. You have the opportunity to win 100 dollars(offered as a daily prize), 1,000 dollars(offered as monthly prizes), and 5,000 dollar (offered as a seasonal or quarterly prize to one person). There’s also SweepLand, a separate sweepstakes website belonging to NPD where you are given the opportunity to win much more than just cash prizes where there are multiple sweepstakes always running at any given time. The Pros: - From my experience I have received a lot of survey opportunities and I’ve been able to qualify for a good portion of them most of the time receiving at least a fair amount of points that I could use to enter into sweepstakes. - There are a ton of great sweepstakes prizes. The way it works is that you exchange the points earned from taking surveys for entries into multiple sweepstakes ranging from a free movie ticket to 1,000 dollar cash prizes to all-expense paid vacation trips. I’ve actually managed to win 1 sweepstakes in the 3 years I’ve been with NPD. What I was won was a nice digital camera that I still use and love. I won that sometime in January of 2010. I haven’t won anything since then but it was still really nice to actually win something for a change. It actually made me a lot more interested in sweepstakes because before that I could only say that sweepstakes are something that you could enter as many times as you want but you’ll never win. Obviously with me winning the digital camera, I can no longer say that I have never managed to win a sweepstakes. The Cons: - Well I guess the obvious con of NPD is the fact that sweepstake prizes are the only rewards offered where you honestly only have a small chance of winning any sweepstakes no matter how many entries you put in because many others are also trying to win the same prize. It’s a way for NPD to receive all the money for your completed surveys while offering prizes to just a few members as a reward. Overall, if I didn’t actually manage to win something from NPD, I would probably not recommend this panel. I probably would have even canceled my account a long time ago. I do enjoy taking surveys and having the opportunity to express my opinions so that’s probably the main reason I’ve stuck with NPD so long other than having the chance to enter some great sweepstakes. I would only recommend this survey panel if you’re someone who takes surveys for enjoyment and not just to receive incentives. I would rank them much higher if I maybe had won something after this long. Either I'm super unlucky or not putting enough raffles towards something. I been with them for 8 months and did most of they're surveys to exchange points in they're sweepland but no luck. I am not all that into sweeps and they're surveys are very infrequent. It's legit though. If you like sweepstakes then I suggest you should sign up for them. Surveys are not long at all.
