It takes an inordinate amount of time to actually connect you to a survey and then you find you do not qualify. 'Waiting for opinionshere' and OTX feature very large. Just lately it has become worse and worse as all the surveys are either 'quota full' or just do NOT work at all. Their peculiar accounting system ensures that they hang onto your money for as long as possible ie. your money is paid 6 weeks after you reach the $12 threshold. DO not bother - it is EXTREMELY frustrating and actually not worth your time. I’ve been with PR for over 2 years now and I have managed to make a little extra money with them… Some Pros of Palm Research: * Palm Research offers 8 daily survey opportunities with survey websites such as OTX & Surveyhead. There used to only be 2 daily survey opportunities but this has changed and more daily survey opportunities have been added as the site continues to grow so your chances of qualifying for a survey are greater and so are your earning potentials. * Besides the daily survey opportunities, there are also what are called “Ad-Hoc” surveys that tend to target a more specific group of people. A lot of these survey tend to pay a little bit more than some of the daily surveys. * Rewards for taking surveys can be paid out with either Paypal or check if you prefer. There’s no having to redeem gift cards unlike with some other survey websites. Cons: * The only reasonable con I have about Palm Research is their net 45 payment basis. This means that your payments are sent 45 days after the last day of a month if on that last day you have reached the minimum payout threshold of 10.00. So basically no matter how much I earn in one month I won’t be able to receive my money until the month after next on the 15th. For example, if I earn 10.00 in February, I won’t receive my money until April 15th which is a pretty long wait especially when you’re waiting to receive a Paypal payment. * Another thing to keep in mind before joining is that the minimum age to join this website is 13 even though Palm Research makes it appear to be 18 by putting “Male/Female 18 YOA+” next to all of the surveys as one of the qualifiers. I’ve seen the same written next to surveys targeted strictly only towards males or females so that part doesn't always seem to be the most reliable before attempting to take a survey. I also contacted PR myself before joining this panel and was told by customer support that you have to be at least 13 to join. Overall, I would have to recommend Palm Research. If you don’t mind waiting a good bit of time to receive your payment, then perhaps you’ll enjoy using PR to earn rewards for taking surveys. Unlike the net 45 payment basis, the 8 survey opportunities offered daily is a plus in my opinion. Although I don't always qualify for surveys, there are 8 daily opportunities, ranging from $0.75 - $1.70. I would for sure recommend this site! They owe me money also I had earned money almost reached $25 which they said was the claimable amount. I was getting the 2 surveys every day. The only one able to complete paid 75 cents and took ages. The 2nd I was always screened out. That was the biggie $1. Now I finally managed to find and contact them I am due only $1.75.I have asked for an explanation, bet there is none. How can I prove surveys over 12 months. That is what they rely on. We cannot possibly keep a history of every survey complete with all the companies over 12 months. There would be books full. Further research reveals they're deregistered with ASIC (Aust. Securities & Investments Commission), deregistered by the Office of Fair Trading NSW. They're not registered with AMSRS (Aust. Market & Social Research Society) or AMSRO (Association of Market & Social Research Organizations). They claim net-45 days but no $ has been seen. I e-mailed them to inquire as to why my payment date keeps being pushed back and the reply told me that "most likely I had neglected to give them some vital info for payment like my full address (for a cheque) or my paypal e-mail. I'm quite confident that they do have all of this information but,unfortunately, it is impossible to check, as their website has been "under construction" in most areas for several months now - replied all this in e-mail to them but have yet to hear anything more ------ that was 2 weeks ago. However, I did not qualify for many surveys and residing in the UK seemed to be a drawback. When I did finally succeed at reaching the $10 limit for cash-out, my payment was not sent as promised (45 days later) and I was told 'payments were delayed'. It's now 6 weeks later, I have not recieved payment and my last 2 queries remain unanswered. Not worth it. Palm research is a pretty basic survey site, but not like some of the other fancier sites that I am a member of, they do send out regular surveys to do, and they pay.
